Lorient has been validated by the DNCG after the takeover by the American group Black Night Football Club. The FC Lorient has passed in front of the DNCG without difficulty, less than a week after the officialization of the passage of Black Knight Football Club as a single shareholder.

The independent commission hosted by the Professional Football League indicated that « no action was taken against the club following the change of majority shareholder ».
